JMB72 - Generator Engineer

Location: Midlands

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 POT

Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Generator Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance and installation of generators and control systems at customer premises, as well as diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering weekly pay, a new company vehicle, an industry-leading pension and the support of a dedicated office co-ordination team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain and install generators and control systems at customer premises
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carry out fault finding on generator control panels and switchgear
  • Perform portable proof load bank testing
  • Upgrade existing control systems, including Deepsea controllers

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Time-served generator engineer
  • Electrically biased with good mechanical knowledge (18th Edition)
  • Proven fault finding ability on generator control panels and switchgear
  • Competent with portable proof load bank testing
  • Familiarity with Deepsea controllers and the ability to upgrade existing control systems
  • Knowledge of UPS systems preferred but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CSCS/ECS card
