The Role

• Conduct all necessary tests, checks, and inspections on the locomotive.
• Prepare train and shunting movements, including coupling, brake adjustment, and documentation.
• Safely and efficiently operate locomotives for test, workshop, and transfer journeys on public tracks.
• Independently operate locomotives and perform minor maintenance tasks.
• Identify, report, and resolve malfunctions, and secure parked trains.

What You'll Need

• Completed railway operations training as a locomotive engineer.
• Several years of experience in railway service and a valid locomotive driver's license.
• Extensive knowledge of various locomotive series and technical understanding.
• Independent, reliable, and flexible work approach.
• Excellent German language skills (C1); English knowledge is advantageous.
