Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the President, the qualified candidate will interpret construction plans, technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates and proposals. Must be detailed and customer service oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Position requires a high level of oral and written correspondence with the sales team, customers and manufacturers to ensure timely completion of assigned projects while maintaining customer satisfaction. Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced and detail driven environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrated presentation skills and experience
Drive commercial HVAC sales while developing and maintaining strong customer relationships. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of JMB’s represented products, equipment, and manufacturer partners. Partner with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate HVAC equipment, solutions, and applications. Manage sales opportunities and associated projects from initial customer engagement through completion, ensuring accurate and timely follow-through.

Build and strengthen long-term relationships with customers and industry partners throughout the commercial HVAC market. Collaborate closely with the JMB team to support customer needs, coordinate projects, and contribute to overall business growth.

Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
Responsible for follow-up with Owners, Architects, Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors
Determine project requirements, constraints and responsibilities to meet the customer’s system design, installation and maintenance requirements
Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations; however, such duties will be reasonable, job-related, and consistent with the scope, level, and classification of the position.

Experience and Requirements

Required
BS Engineering in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar technical discipline or years in the HVAC, refrigeration or controls experience can be a substitute or PE
5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferred, with degree, or minimum 8 years in industry, project managing or designing project HVAC systems
Working knowledge of MEP Consulting, Architecture, Design, CAD, General and Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry a plus
Prior success estimating, selling and marketing HVAC mechanical and or solution projects and conceptual solutions to end-users at medium and large-size companies in a highly competitive market
Experience making equipment and systems selections
Experience with take-offs from plan and spec projects
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Drug Free and able to pass a Criminal Background Check
Proven ability to develop new business and aggressively close sales
Ability to develop and work with outside engineering firms to find the most cost-effective solution
Ability to maintain relationships with local contractors, end users, project engineers and manufacturers
Ability to create and maintain project files for each project throughout its duration
Must be able to read, understand and interpret building plans & specifications and be familiar with common system designs
Computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite, estimating and CRM database programs
Some travel required
