Role: Ruby/Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: Remote

Duration: Long Term Contract

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Tech Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Ruby/Ruby on Rails, along with solid experience in Java/Spring Boot and React. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, drive architecture, and development across multiple workstreams, and mentor engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and development across Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring Boot, and React applications.
• Own architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and technical direction.
• Manage multiple concurrent development initiatives and remove technical blockers.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure quality, scalability, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues.
• Mentor developers and provide hands-on technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience with technical leadership.
• Strong, hands-on Ruby/Ruby on Rails experience mandatory.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot experience.
• Strong React experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, databases, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred

• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform.
• Docker/Kubernetes experience.
• Kafka/RabbitMQ or other messaging technologies.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications.

Core Requirement: This is primarily a Ruby/Rails-led Full-Stack Tech Lead role. Candidates should have substantial recent hands-on Ruby/Rails experience, not just Java/React leadership experience.
