Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHead Lifeguard (Full-Time)Head LifeguardPay Rate: $16.00-17.00 per hour depending on certificationsSchedule: Regularly scheduled full-time or part-timePosition SummaryThe Head Lifeguard serves as the on-deck leader during shifts, ensuring safe pool operations while supervising lifeguards and maintaining excellent customer service for members and guests. Head Lifeguards coordinate guard rotations, monitor daily tasks, and assist with resolving issues that arise during operations.

Primary Duties (While On the Stand)Actively monitor swimmer and member activity to maintain a safe aquatic environmentPerform rescues and emergency response when necessaryEnforce pool rules and safety proceduresFollow all emergency, safety, and security protocolsSecondary Duties (While Off the Stand)Provide excellent customer service to members and guestsClean and organize pool facilities and equipmentAssist with concessions and eventsSupport party and pool renters to ensure successful experiencesLeadership ResponsibilitiesManages lifeguard stand rotationsAssigns and monitors side work such as cleaning and organizingTests and records pool chemicalsBackwashes the poolProvides guidance and support to lifeguard staffAddresses member concerns and resolves issues with professionalism and excellent customer serviceAdditional ResponsibilitiesCross-trained to assist at the front desk:Monitor and open the front entranceAnswer phonesCheck in membersCertifications Required (base pay rate)American Red Cross Lifeguarding / First Aid / CPR / AED CertificationCertifications Preferred (each certification earns an additional $.50 p/hour from base pay)American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor CertificationCertified Pool OperatorCompensation details: 16-17 Hourly WagePI0a27575e1d12-25405-41544822
