• SAP Basis + AWS DevOps Engineer
• Location: Sydney, Australia
• Years of Experience: 5-8 Years

About Position

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Engineer with a strong background in AWS Cloud and DevOps practices to support and administer SAP ECC environments. The ideal candidate will have robust SAP Basis administration capabilities, operational support experience, and a solid understanding of AWS-hosted SAP landscapes.

What You'll Do SAP Basis Administration

• Support SAP ECC, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, and related SAP systems.
• Perform health checks and performance tuning.
• Manage transports across SAP landscapes.
• Monitor work processes, system logs, short dumps, and background jobs.
• Execute client copies, system refreshes, kernel upgrades, and support package implementations.
• Manage SAP start/stop activities and system maintenance.
• Support backup and restore activities.
• Troubleshoot RFC, spool, performance, and connectivity issues.

AWS & DevOps

• Support SAP workloads deployed on AWS.
• Monitor AWS infrastructure using CloudWatch.
• Manage EC2, EBS, IAM, and backup services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell/Python).
• Participate in infrastructure provisioning and operational automation.
• Handle production incidents and service requests.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem management.
• Execute changes following ITIL processes.
• Provide on-call and weekend support when required.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong Basis Product administration experience on ECC 6.0 / EHP environments.
• Knowledge of SAP Kernel upgrades, Transport Management System (TMS), system refreshes, client administration, SAP Application Security basics, and RFC connectivity.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, AWS Elastic Blob Storage, AWS S3, AWS IAM Idaas, CloudWatch, and AWS Backup.
• Familiarity with Continuous Exploration Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins OpenSource, Git, Unix Shell Scripting, and basic to intermediate Python.

Preferred Skills

• SAP Basis Certification.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS SysOps Administrator certification.
