Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a SSD Test Engineer 3

SSD Test Engineer 3  (Longmont, CO - Onsite)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

·        This role is responsible for validating pre production SSDs using productoin servers and/or Ecosystem partner switch, HBA, RAID adapter, and retimer products.

·        The position emphasizes technical ownership, test strategy development, and cross functional collaboration to improve validation quality and efficiency.

·        Experience with industry AI tools will be helpful as use of these tools is mandatory in the role.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·        Minimum 7+ years of experience in SSD Testing is required

Technical Ownership

• Review and enhance test plans, coverage, and execution to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

• Recommend and implement enhanced validation methodologies and tools.

Requirements & Strategy

• Maintain expertise in product functionality and relevant industry certifications.

• Define validation strategies aligned with project scope and delivery timelines.

• Identify appropriate test equipment and resources.

Test Design & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases.

• Define and execute automation strategies supporting internal test frameworks.

• Continuously improve validation processes and methodologies.

• Partner with CVE and product design teams to align test coverage with firmware and hardware architecture.

• Support shift left initiatives to detect issues earlier in the development cycle.

Test Execution & Reporting

• Prepare SSD and server samples for validation.

• Execute validation plans and monitor test efficiency.

• Analyze results, including Pareto and trend analysis.

• Produce clear, concise validation reports and maintain document revision history.

Defect Management

• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of defects from internal teams, partners, and customers.

• Ensure reproducible failure documentation with clear traceability.

• Communicate risk and collaborate across teams to assess results and manage deviations.
