The Support Services Associate is to actively participate in providing resources and facilities to ensure that the effective provision of care to patients undergoing surgery. The SSA is to ensure that they participate in all activities to ensure achievement of the objectives of the Operating Suite are met. Transport beds and trolleys to and from Care Centres to the Operating Suite; Report to and liaise with team leaders and Nurses in charge (Holding Bay, PACU and flor in charge); Exchange empty oxygen cylinders daily as required. Ensuring oxygen is available for all patient transport with all cylinders at least full prior to transport Cleaning duties as listed in position description
Classifications for this position will be PS21 - PS25 ($26.93 - $28.43 per hour, plus casual loading)

St Vincent's Operating Suite houses 12 theatres, 12 anaesthetic rooms and a Post Anaesthetic Care Area. We undertake over 12,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week.
