Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their established Belfast team.<br />This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile multidisciplinary projects while benefiting from flexible working, structured career development and support towards professional chartership.

Your new role As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of geotechnical design and site investigation projects from feasibility through to construction.

Working closely with civil, structural and environmental teams, you will provide technical expertise, manage project delivery and mentor junior engineers.<br />Key responsibilities include:

Geotechnical design for infrastructure and development projects<br />Interpretation of ground investigation data and preparation of technical reports<br />Foundation design, slope stability assessments and earthworks engineering<br />Geotechnical risk assessments and design recommendations<br />Preparation of specifications and contract documentation<br />Liaison with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams<br />Project management, programme delivery and budget control<br />Mentoring and supporting junior team members<br />What you'll need to succeed:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related disciplineProven experience delivering geotechnical engineering projects within a consultancy environmentStrong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design and ground engineeringExperience in geotechnical design software and industry standardsAbility to manage multiple projects and client relationships What you'll get in return:
