Job Description

Job Title: Data Scientists

Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Data Scientists to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Collaborate with data owners and project teams to define data requirements, data quality rules, standards, and governance practices.
  2. Monitor, analyze, and validate datasets to identify quality issues, inconsistencies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Support end-to-end data lifecycle management, including data documentation, classification, ownership, lineage, and maintenance.
  4. Develop and maintain data quality reports, dashboards, issue logs, and remediation plans to support governance and business decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in data stewardship, data management, data quality, data governance, and data analysis.

Technical Skills

Data Management, Data Quality, Data Governance, SQL, PL/SQL, Databricks, Data Validation, Data Profiling, Data Reporting, Data Lifecycle Management

Business / Domain Skills
  1. Experience supporting automotive enterprise data management at General Motors, including business data ownership, data stewardship, and coordination across business and technical teams.
  2. Experience establishing and maintaining data quality rules, standards, and controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability of business-critical data.
  3. Experience managing the end-to-end data lifecycle, including data creation, collection, validation, integration, maintenance, usage, and governance across enterprise data environments.
  4. Experience partnering with data owners and business stakeholders to resolve data quality issues, define ownership and accountability, document governance requirements, and support trusted reporting and data-driven decision-making.

Communication

Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

Documentation

Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Work Authorization

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.
