Data Architect with Security Clearance

CONTRACT TO HIRE Data Architect / Program Lead (Secret Clearance Required)
Synergiq is seeking an experienced technical leader to support the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division for it's client. Primarily remote, with visits to Clarksburg, WV for equipment pickup and in-person meetings as needed.
Active Secret clearance or higher required.
You will lead data mesh implementation, develop domain-specific data products, design AWS ETL pipelines, and strengthen data governance, cataloging, lineage, and access controls. This role combines hands-on architecture with team leadership and stakeholder engagement.
Required experience:

• 8+ years designing and implementing data architectures across large-scale data environments.
• 5+ years working with cloud-based data platforms.
• 2+ years leading and mentoring data engineering teams.
• Hands-on data mesh implementation and AWS experience, including S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, and Lambda.
• Experience with Agile delivery, Scrum/Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.

A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred. Full-time availability during Eastern business hours is required.
