We're looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the development of next-generation audio and video solutions that combine advanced signal processing, machine learning, and embedded software engineering. Design and implement licensable audio and video technologies across the full development chain - from research and prototyping, through software implementation, to testing and quality assurance - and support internal and external customers.
What You'll Do
- Invent and prototype new audio and video experiences.
- Apply classical DSP and machine learning techniques to solve real-world challenges.
- Take concepts from research through to deployment on consumer devices.
- Develop high-performance, portable C/C++ software for embedded platforms.
- Lead system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision making.
- Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate innovation and productivity.
- Drive complex engineering projects and influence technical direction.
- Mentor engineers and represent Dolby with customers and partners.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years' experience in DSP, embedded systems, and real-time software development.
- Deep expertise in DSP fundamentals including filtering, transforms, beamforming, noise reduction, and non-linear processing.
- Hands on experience developing and deploying machine learning models on edge devices.
- Strong C/C++ development skills and understanding of processor architectures.
- Proven track record leading complex technical projects and delivering production ready solutions.
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
