The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an Assistant Program Supervisor to help bring those pieces together within our Adult Day Services programs. In this role, you'll support the daily operation of the program while helping employees deliver individualized experiences that build independence, vocational abilities, daily living skills, and meaningful connections within the community.

Your Opportunity

Location: Tuckerton, NJ | Toms River, NJ | Lakewood, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly
Overtime: Overtime Opportunities Available

What You'll Help Make Happen

Keep the Program Moving

  • Support the coordination of day-to-day program activities to help services operate smoothly and effectively.
  • Partner with program leadership to maintain high standards for participant support and overall service delivery.
  • Help organize staffing needs, workflow, and communication so employees have the direction and resources necessary to meet program priorities.

Help Employees Succeed

  • Provide guidance and coaching to program employees while promoting teamwork and continued professional growth.
  • Encourage a collaborative environment where staff can work together effectively to meet the individualized needs of participants.
  • Assist with staff supervision, program coordination, and daily operational responsibilities.

Bring Individual Goals to Life

  • Monitor participant progress toward individualized objectives focused on independence, vocational development, and daily living skills.
  • Support opportunities for participants to practice and strengthen skills through program activities, community involvement, and vocational experiences.
  • Help maintain a person-centered environment where individuals are encouraged to participate, make choices, and pursue meaningful goals.

Keep Quality at the Center

  • Review participant records and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with agency expectations.
  • Help maintain a program environment that is safe, welcoming, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the individuals receiving services.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts that strengthen services and promote positive participant outcomes.

Build Connections Beyond the Program

  • Coordinate with families, Support Coordinators, funding agencies, and community organizations to support individualized services.
  • Communicate with program leadership, employees, and interdisciplinary team members regarding participant needs and operational priorities.
  • Develop positive professional relationships that encourage coordinated services and greater opportunities for community inclusion.

What You'll Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a direct support, vocational, or adult day program setting.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and maintain compliance with agency drug testing requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience assisting with staff supervision, program coordination, and daily operational functions preferred.
