Job Description

We are using and creating technology to transform operations at sea to enable people and the planet to thrive.

We are open-minded and fearless in our approach to innovation and don't believe in boundaries. We challenge everything and have massive ambitions to drag aging industries into the tech era.

We take safety, equality and education very seriously, and our responsibilities don't stop at our front door. Our business is built on the belief that there's definitely a more environmentally responsible way to operate at sea.

We employ people who share our core values. We expect our people to be courageous, trustworthy, and conscientious, driven by a desire to do the right thing. We strive for excellence, work collaboratively, and are genuinely excited by our work.

We offer opportunities for our people to develop beyond their role and span a multitude of disciplines. These are open to all, regardless of background and experience level. Working with us means being part of a team that is harnessing technology and creativity to disrupt a traditional industry.

We are not your average workplace.

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Tender Manager to oversee, coordinate, and submit tenders in alignment with quality standards and within specified deadlines. The role involves managing the end-to-end tender process, ensuring compliance with organizational and client requirements, and collaborating with internal teams to develop competitive and compelling submissions.

Tender Management & Internal Alignment

  • Act as the primary coordinator of all assigned tenders, ensuring timely and accurate inputs from all required teams.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver competitive tenders and proposals in full compliance with Ocean Infinity’s procedures and client requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost calculations by consolidating progress data and financial inputs from relevant departments.
  • Monitor timelines to guarantee on-time submission of all tenders.
  • Maintain strict compliance with client requirements throughout the tender process.
  • Revise and update tender submissions in response to client clarifications and feedback.
  • Oversee internal approvals, including productivity reviews, specification evaluations, and compliance checks.
  • Authorize and approve tender submissions in accordance with established approval levels.
  • Foster a culture where constructive challenge refines and optimises solutions.
  • Motivate and guide teams to deliver high-quality outputs against common objectives.
  • Manage information flow to prevent silos and ensure full stakeholder visibility on progress, risks, and decisions.
  • Act as a main point of contact with clients during the tender phase, representing the business in negotiations.
  • Lead the project handover process by ensuring clarity of scope, deliverables, and responsibilities to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems to ensure all information is accurate, current, and accessible.

Operational Challenge & Competitiveness

  • Support in critically assessing operational plans, schedules, and resources for feasibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure Ocean Infinity’s differentiators—lean operations, remote technologies, advanced tech—are embedded into proposals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align operational decisions with business goals and market positioning.
  • Support in identifying opportunities to reduce risk, optimise delivery methods, and enhance competitiveness.
  • Apply lessons learned from past tenders to continuously strengthen solutions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse win/loss outcomes and share insights to improve tender strategies and win ratio.
  • Support post-bid reviews and embed lessons learned into best practices.
  • Attend industry exhibitions and conferences, where relevant.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to inform tender submissions and strategy.

Who you are:

  • Experienced professional with a strong background in offshore operations and/or a deep understanding of the offshore industry.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thoughtful, thorough, and conscientious, with high levels of integrity and credibility when handling confidential matters.
  • A collaborative team player who values others’ perspectives and strives for the best outcome for the team and company.
  • Proactive, driven, and able to take ownership, working autonomously with minimal supervision whilst balancing team collaboration.
  • Strong critical thinker with the confidence to challenge, show initiative, and embrace new ideas.
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated familiarity or understanding of the tender lifecycle and/or Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation.
  • Enthusiastic about innovation, collaboration, and delivering excellence for people and the planet.

What you can expect:

At Ocean Infinity, we believe in creating equal opportunities for all, celebrating each and everyone’s differences. We are driven by transforming the industry, through our technology, thoughts, behaviours and actions. Being inclusive and respectful to all is fundamental to who we are. It is the right thing to do and enables innovation and creativity to thrive.

There is more work to be done, and we know that we aren’t perfect, but our commitment to these values is unwavering. They are central to our mission and the impact we have on the industry, meaning, we cannot live without them.

Salary for the role: Up to 65,000 GBP per annum
