Job Description

Argosy Collegiate Charter School is a tuition-free college preparatory charter school focused on helping students build the academic and character foundation needed for success in college, career, and life. As School Psychologist (Middle School), you will play an important role in supporting student learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health. This role works closely with school leaders, educators, families, and community partners to strengthen student support systems and contribute to safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environments. The position also carries a strong commitment to equity, human rights, and cross-cultural understanding in service of all students.

Responsibilities

  • Support students’ learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health through problem solving, assessment, data-based decision-making, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate and consult with administration, educators, families, staff, and outside community agencies to coordinate effective student support.
  • Help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.
  • Carry out the work of the role in alignment with Argosy Collegiate School Board of Trustees policies regarding equity, human rights, and cross-cultural understandings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree from an accredited college
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a valid School Psychologist license/certificate issued by Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
  • At least three years of experience in school psychology in an urban school setting (preferred)
  • Membership with the National Association of School Psychology (NASP) (preferred)
  • Possess strong skills in oral and written communication, consultation, and collaboration. Oral and written communication is required for sharing information with staff and parents.
  • Computer processing and data entry are required for this position. Familiarity with Q-Global, Q-Interactive, and MHS Assessments (preferred)
  • Visual acuity and hearing are required for the delivery of assessment, intervention, and consultation services.
  • Occasional lifting of materials and equipment of less than 25 pounds
