Job Description

Oberarzt (m/w/d) Gastroenterologie | Rendsburg, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Physician for our leading gastroenterology department. This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized healthcare provider known for its commitment to advanced medical practices and comprehensive patient care within a major regional center.

The Role

  • Provide comprehensive care for inpatient and outpatient patients across the full spectrum of gastroenterology and internal medicine.
  • Independently perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, and assist with ERCP and endosonography.
  • Share responsibility for ward management, conducting patient rounds, managing treatment cases, and coordinating interdisciplinary care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physicians, actively contributing to medical education and training programs.
  • Collaborate closely with other internal medicine sections, surgical departments, radiology, and other specialist areas.
  • Participate in the strategic development of medical concepts, clinical pathways, quality standards, and on-call services.

What You'll Need

  • Specialist qualification in Internal Medicine; additional specialization in Gastroenterology or Diabetology is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with basic knowledge or willingness to train in endosonography and ERCP.
  • Proficiency in clinical information systems (KIS) for documentation, patient management, and coding.
  • Strong organizational, independent, and responsible work ethic with excellent decision-making and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills for effective interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Interest in developing medical processes, quality assurance, and medical education.
