Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid, 3 days onsite from Day 1)

Summary:
Seeking an experienced Data Engineer Lead to oversee enterprise-scale data engineering operations, platform stability, production support, and end-to-end data delivery. This role will lead multiple engineering teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations, ensuring operational excellence, platform reliability, and alignment with business objectives. Domain experience in financial services environments is a plus but not mandatory.

Required / Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience with Databricks
• Strong expertise in Apache Spark and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and DAG design
• Deep understanding of Data Engineering concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data platforms
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation
• Strong platform management, monitoring, incident management, and production support experience
• Experience leading distributed teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore models
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Qualification:

• Proven experience leading data engineering teams and delivery pods
• Experience managing enterprise-scale data platforms and data pipeline development
• Strong background in platform reliability, SLA management, monitoring, and operational excellence
• Hands-on expertise in production support and issue escalation management
• Experience implementing governance, operational readiness, and performance optimization best practices
• Financial services, asset management, investment management, capital markets, or market data platform experience is preferred
