BAU/L3 Data Engineer Lead (Senior L3 Support Engineer)

Location:
Irvine, CA (Onsite 3 days/week from Day 1)

Summary:
Seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer Lead to oversee enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives, platform stability, and operational excellence. This role involves coordinating onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams, driving scalable data solutions, ensuring platform reliability, and leading multiple delivery pods. Experience in financial services, investment platforms, or capital markets environments is preferred but not mandatory.

Required / Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and performance tuning
• Expertise in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and DAG design
• Deep understanding of Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, and large-scale data platforms
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation
• Strong platform management, monitoring, and incident management experience
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple locations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Qualification:

• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data engineering programs
• Strong background in designing and supporting large-scale data platforms
• Experience managing production support, platform reliability, and SLA adherence
• Ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes
• Preferred exposure to Asset Management, Investment Management, Capital Markets, or portfolio/market data environments
