Job Description

Title:                                     JBOSS Middleware (EAP) & Cloud Administrator

Location:                             Lake Mary, FL (Onsite)

Duration:                            12 Months of Contract

 

Required Skills: JBoss EAP 8.x, Shell Scripting, Java, AWS Administration Preferred Skills: Splunk, CICD, AWS

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, administer, and support JBoss EAP environments in both Standalone and Domain modes across development, test, and production environments.
  • Deploy and manage enterprise Java applications (WAR/EAR), ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Configure and maintain JBoss clustering, session replication, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Monitor middleware environments, analyze logs, troubleshoot production incidents, and perform root cause analysis for complex technical issues.
  • Perform JVM tuning, connection pool optimization, thread management, and overall middleware performance tuning.
  • Configure and maintain SSL/TLS certificates, security domains, authentication, authorization, and Active Directory/LDAP integration.
  • Design, configure, and support IBM DataPower gateways, XML/SOAP services, and security policies.
  • Configure and administer IBM MQ messaging infrastructure, JMS resources, queues, topics, connection factories, and messaging integrations with Kafka and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop Linux shell scripts to automate middleware administration, monitoring, deployments, and operational tasks.
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines and implement automated deployment strategies to improve release efficiency and reliability.
  • Execute infrastructure changes, maintenance activities, and production deployments while adhering to established operational procedures and change management processes.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture documents, solution designs, system diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, application development, and cloud engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, technical design reviews, and release planning activities.
  • Evaluate new technologies, recommend architectural improvements, and contribute to enterprise modernization initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership, and establish middleware best practices, operational standards, and governance processes.
