QA Engineer with Security Clearance

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to provide software performance testing, data collection and analysis, subject matter expertise, and requirements gathering. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for assessing software functionality and performance through both manual and automatedtesting. The QA Engineer will gather and compile test metric data. The Quality Engineer should be comfortable working in an agile environment, resolving complex problems if and when they arise.

Collaboration with the development team will be a common aspect of the position, and the Quality Engineer should be comfortable with data sharing and information sharing across teams. • Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop and execute testing strategies for a product or release.
• Codes reusable test functions or components.
• Executes manual as well as automated tests to assess software functionality and performance using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers.
• Identifies, logs, and track defects.
• Reports technical issues to development or product management teams and verifies fixes.
• Performs work under minimal supervision.
• Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of Quality Engineering processes.

Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Navy, or DHA and/or private sector preferred. Must have experience with Software Testing/Requirements applications such as JIRA, ALM. Experience with automation testing and various tools is a plus.

Skills/Qualifications : Certifications in IAT Level II and SAFe for Teams preferred. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Needs great interpersonal/communication skills. Able to translate customer requirements to team goals.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires a Public Trust. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Work Location: Work location will be in the Charleston, SC region.
