Quick Overview
Job Description
Occupational Therapist | Generalist Role | West Gladstone, QLD
Some roles give you variety… but no structure.
Others give you structure… but no flexibility.
This one sits comfortably in between.
We’re working with a well-established allied health provider across regional Queensland that has built its model around balance — giving OTs a genuinely varied caseload, while still keeping workloads realistic and well supported.
The role
- Generalist position across adults and paediatrics
- Combination of clinic-based work and community visits
- Diverse caseload including NDIS, functional assessments, rehab and ongoing therapy
- Flexibility to lean into areas you enjoy as you settle into the role
What makes this role different
- A thoughtful approach to caseload allocation — not just filling your calendar
- Expectations that are clear and achievable
- A team that shares knowledge, without overcomplicating processes
- Stability — low turnover and consistent support
Who this would suit
- An OT who enjoys variety and wants to keep developing across different areas
- Someone looking for a role that feels structured but not restrictive
- Open to both early career and experienced clinicians
Essentials
- AHPRA registration
- Driver’s licence (for community work)
What’s on offer
- Competitive salary + travel reimbursement
- Flexible working arrangements
- Ongoing professional development
- A supportive, established team environment
Why West Gladstone?
West Gladstone puts you close to the heart of Gladstone's coastal lifestyle, with a strong sense of community and a growing regional economy just minutes away. You'll be surrounded by beautiful waterways and have easy access to the Southern Great Barrier Reef and nearby islands for weekend escapes. The cost of living is more affordable compared to major cities, allowing for a comfortable lifestyle without the financial pressure. It's a practical location for professionals, with good infrastructure, schools, and healthcare services close by. At the same time, you'll enjoy less traffic, shorter commutes, and a slower pace that makes day-to-day life feel more manageable.
If you’re looking for a role where you can build broad experience, feel supported, and enjoy a genuine lifestyle shift — we’d be happy to share more details confidentially. Feel free to reach out to Camille at camille@mediix.com.au.
