Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced GIS Specialist/GIS Analyst to support a broad range of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services, including geospatial data management, application development, spatial analysis, mapping, systems integration, and technical support.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with GIS technologies and the ability to support both day-to-day GIS operations and complex technical initiatives across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain geodatabases and geospatial data models.
• Perform GIS programming and scripting to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Create, edit, maintain, and manage GIS datasets and related metadata.
• Develop and produce electronic and hard-copy maps for operational, planning, and reporting purposes.
• Perform spatial analysis and geospatial modeling to support business and departmental requirements.
• Handle GIS data import, export, conversion, transformation, and integration across various systems and formats.
• Support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and troubleshooting of web-based GIS applications.
• Provide technical consulting and recommendations related to GIS architecture, solutions, and best practices.
• Participate in GIS solutions engineering, systems integration, software implementation, and configuration.
• Support GIS servers, environments, applications, and related infrastructure, including server administration and technical support.
• Assist with GIS strategic planning, technology assessments, and implementation roadmaps.
• Support asset management initiatives through GIS data, mapping, and spatial systems.
• Design and/or support mobile GIS applications for field data collection, asset inventory, inspections, and related activities.
• Provide ongoing GIS support to various departments and business units.
• Troubleshoot GIS applications, data, services, and system integration issues.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business users, vendors, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver appropriate GIS solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, process documentation, and other project deliverables as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong professional experience working with GIS technologies and geospatial data.
• Experience with geodatabase design, spatial analysis, data management, and map production.
• Strong knowledge of GIS scripting/programming and workflow automation.
• Experience supporting web GIS applications and services.
• Knowledge of GIS software implementation, configuration, and systems integration.
• Experience with GIS server administration and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience working with mobile GIS solutions and field data collection applications is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Esri ArcGIS technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise/Server, ArcGIS Online, and related web/mobile GIS solutions, would be highly desirable.
• Experience supporting asset management, utilities, transportation, infrastructure, government, or other large-scale GIS environments is a plus.
