Sr. Electrical Design Engineer I

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite)

COMPENSATION: $29 - $39 HOURLY

Role Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to provide technical services in support of a Power Resiliency program. This role will concentrate on the planning, design, commissioning, and operational support of electrical infrastructure, backup power systems, and energy resiliency solutions across a large distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of site-specific plans (playbooks) for backup generation implementation, coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and utilities.
• Obtain site-specific information for playbooks, including engineering drawings, line diagrams, and specifications.
• Support the ramp-up of business units for planning, deployment, and operation of backup power generation.
• Develop and manage software systems to track initiatives, assets, and report problems.
• Assist in the execution of power resiliency plans and processes during major events.
• Coordinate efforts to get generation to a site or make onsite backup generation operable during unplanned needs.
• Provide administrative support for ongoing process development, including documentation and reporting.
• Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and utilize internal tools for obtaining information or reporting issues.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and utility providers to obtain required information and permissions.
• Assist in resolving administrative issues related to requisitions and purchase orders.

The position requires experience in the following areas:

• Playbook development and equipment validation.
• Planned and unplanned backup power generation process development.
• Documentation, administration, and reporting in a technical environment.
• Interaction and coordination with vendors, contractors, and utility providers.
