The Role • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation for software, systems engineering, operations, testing, and user needs. • Create code documentation, implementation guides, and end-user guides for various capabilities. • Gather technical information and maintain an internal documentation library, ensuring content is clear and accessible to a wide audience. • Work with developers to produce high-quality documentation and training materials across all phases of development. • Interpret engineering drawings and operational procedures to synthesize complex information into comprehensive technical publications. • Produce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, and training materials for electronic equipment and systems. What You'll Need • Six (6) years of experience as a technical writer on programs of similar scope and complexity. • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or an additional four (4) years of technical writing experience can substitute for a degree. • Proven ability to write technical copy for various document types, understanding basic grammar and technical concepts. • Experience using multiple word processing and presentation tools, such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. • Ability to research highly technical subject matter and organize information from multiple sources. • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
