Job Description

Become an integral part of a diverse team that delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO's backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Engineer to join our team in Laurel, Maryland.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Services-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.
  • Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware and software components.
  • Participate in the development of system of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirement Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis

Minimum/Basic Qualifications:

  • 20 years' experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related professional engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of cloud services and solutions like AWS and alternative cloud service provider frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to evaluate Customer needs and architect scalable, agile cloud technologies.
  • Experience engineering physical and virtual VDI and VPN infrastructures.
  • Strong proficiency with network topology to ensure reliable, high-performance, and secure system connectivity

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have a current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
