Data Migration Specialist

Our client is kicking off a major billing platform transformation for an Australian energy client, migrating from the Tally Orion platform. This is a high-impact, delivery-critical role where you'll bring the Tally-specific expertise that the core migration team needs to execute an end-to-end migration (extract, transform, load) successfully.

• Act as the SME for Tally Orion / Tally Plus, including schema, relationships, and utility billing structures
• Analyse and interpret Tally database architecture and data model
• Support mapping of legacy Tally data into the target model
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data mapping and data quality issues
• Provide deep knowledge across utility billing domains including:
  • Customer & account
  • Billing
  • Metering
  • Tariffs & products
• Partner with BAs and migration specialists to define transformation rules
• Support ETL delivery, validation, reconciliation, and migration QA
• Help build a repeatable migration approach that can be leveraged across future data migration programs

• Hands-on experience with Tally Orion, Tally Plus, or closely related Tally billing platforms
• Strong understanding of Tally schema / database architecture / data relationships
• Proven experience supporting complex migrations and/or major system transformation programs
• Strong data mapping, analysis, problem-solving capability
• Ability to collaborate across BAs, technical migration resources, and product/platform specialists

• Energy / utilities domain experience
• Prior billing platform migration / replacement experience
• Strong SQL and broader database analysis capability
• Experience across extraction, transformation, loading activities
