Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • University graduation in business, management or related discipline, and Eight years of Project Management (PM) experience; OR Two-year in business, management or related discipline and Ten years of PM experience; OR One year certificate in business, management or related discipline and Eleven years of PM experience; OR Twelve years of PM experience.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing project schedule plans and strategies, estimating resource requirements, and developing and monitoring work plans for completion of project tasks.
  • 10+ years of experience identifying, analyzing and managing project risks on large, complex projects.
  • 5+ years of experience with implementing cloud based projects and services with large scale cloud providers.
  • Working knowledge and experience of IT infrastructure environments including general concepts of workstation/server hardware, software build and push strategies.
  • General understanding of line-of-business applications and architectures.
  • Sound understanding of IT Change and Communication Management and User Acceptance Testing frameworks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function on an individual basis and in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of IT projects, overseeing all aspects including setting deadlines and assigning responsibilities.
  • Monitor and summarize progress of projects and prepare reports for upper management regarding status.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.
  • Compile project charters and business/project plans to support activities and ensure business objectives and data integrity are achieved.
  • Manage projects that document business requirements, design and deliver IT solutions compliant with enterprise architecture.
  • Assist with the development of recommendations including resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, and policy implications.
  • Produce and package deliverables for presentation to internal support teams, steering committees, and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects, project resources, and project governance.
  • Work with project sponsors to ensure effective project communication and escalation of risks.
  • Collaborable with business and IT leadership to develop project plans stating objectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, and budget.
  • Document and report project status against established objectives, milestones, budget, and resources.
  • Develop project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, and take corrective action for completion of tasks.
  • Provide guidance to project resources in establishing work priorities.
  • Assess whether projects achieved stated outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide leadership and assistance to business and project teams requiring change management and communication support.
  • Work within the standards defined by the project management office.

Nice to Have:

  • 10+ years of experience developing and delivering targeted communications and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • 7+ years of experience in understanding the impact of policies, processes and procedures on performance.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large enterprise-scale projects using Agile and waterfall methodologies, establishing governance frameworks (e.g., RACI), and managing RAID elements.
  • 5+ years of experience with applying security controls in project solutions and designs including STRA, PIA, POPA and HIA.
  • 5+ years of experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
  • 2+ years of experience with implementing AI projects and services for large scale organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience with process improvement, documentation and requirement gathering.
  • 7+ years of experience working in or for the public sector.
  • Awareness of existing organizational IT policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices.
