Department:
Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company specialise in multiple divisions.
Customer Solutions Plus (CSP), a joint venture between Sapphire Utility Solutions and Network Plus, supports Severn Trent Water in delivering essential wastewater network services across the region. The contract includes reactive repair and maintenance, sewer lining and patching, CCTV inspections, jetting and cleansing activities, minor civils works, and environmental improvement programmes.
The Team play a vital role in supporting network performance through pollution prevention, storm overflow reduction, infiltration investigations, and AMP8 delivery programmes. They are committed to improving environmental outcomes and maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient wastewater network for customers and communities.

Purpose of the role:

As a works scheduler, you will be responsible for effectively planning and coordinating work of our Lining and Patching teams throughout the Severn Trent Water region. Our Lining and Patching teams help to maintain the very busy sewer networks that run for miles and miles beneath us; therefore this is a varied and busy role - organisation and having the ability to multi-task is key! You will be planning and coordinating the work through communication with internal and external customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, dedicated team situated in our modern and welcoming office in Derby.

Location: Derby, Columbus House, Raynesway

Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours per week, 8am-4pm.

Salary: £29,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule work, in accordance with service level agreements, whilst optimising travel routes to increase productivity.
  • Provide customer service to both internal and external customers via telephone and webchat as / when required – for example to update customers.
  • Maintain timely and accurate input and uploading of information into the works management systems, ensuring that all issues are recorded and escalated.
  • Ensure that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner. This may include keeping the client and management team to be informed of any ongoing incidents or events.
  • You will ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved, to both external and internal customers, providing excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change.
  • You will ensure that safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
