Oracle Database Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client seeking a hybrid Oracle Database Developer to join their team in Dallas, TX, Raleigh, NC, or Princeton, NJ. This is a hands-on development role focused on building and enhancing Oracle-based solutions, writing high-quality SQL and PL/SQL, and improving the performance and reliability of high-volume data processing applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database application solutions
• Write and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
• Build scalable solutions for high-volume data processing workloads
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective database implementations
• Troubleshoot data issues, trace discrepancies, and support root-cause analysis
• Analyze execution plans and tune queries, stored code, and batch processes for performance
• Collaborate with Oracle technical leads, data engineers, application developers, and business stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews and follow established design, testing, and development standards
• Enhance and redesign components within an existing enterprise platform rather than a greenfield environment
• Support data validation and ensure solutions are accurate, reliable, scalable, and maintainable

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-10 years of hands-on Oracle database development experience
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills
• Experience developing packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex queries
• Demonstrated experience with query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience working with high-volume or complex data processing applications
• Solid understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and application development principles
• Ability to understand business data and apply that context when building or troubleshooting solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
