Electrician | Motherwell, United Kingdom | On-site

The Role

  • Install a variety of cable types (multi-core, single core, co-axial) and electrical systems including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switches.
  • Perform cable termination and install all electrical equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient completion of electrical installations.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards during work execution.

What You'll Need

  • Completed a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification with a SJIB card.
  • Experience in marine installations or major industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working practices.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, electrical schematics, and instructions.
  • Proficiency in mounting electrical equipment, earthing, and cable terminations.
  • Understanding of tag-out procedures and safe proving-dead processes.
