Systems Engineer MID - Transport NetDevOps
Location: Norfolk, VA or Jacksonville, FL (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support advanced multivendor network environments. This role involves network engineering, security, and automation. The position requires working onsite in either Norfolk, VA, or Jacksonville, FL, and collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams across the United States.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive lifecycle management and administration of diverse network nodes.
• Develop, test, and deploy Ansible playbooks for infrastructure as code.
• Perform expert-level administration and support of complex Network Management Systems (NMS), including Cisco Catalyst Center, OpenText Network Automation (NA), OpenText Network Node Manager (NNMi), and Arista CloudVision.
• Administer RedHat 8 and manage Kubernetes orchestration for modern NMS deployments.
• Design and deploy automated policy enforcement mechanisms across the network infrastructure.
• Conduct deep analysis of complex technical situations to drive root-cause resolution.
• Synthesize complex technical data into concise summaries for executive decision-making.

Required Qualifications
Core Technical Skills:

• Functional understanding of advanced multivendor routing and switching network environments (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Brocade, Juniper, McAfee).
• Functional understanding of enterprise firewalls and robust Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and YAML for network task automation.
• Hands-on experience with network nodes configuration management and automated provisioning.
• Demonstrated reliability and productivity managing a flexible 40-hour workweek schedule.
