Job description

Description Make your mark on essential municipal infrastructure with a team that values collaboration, ownership, and real work-life balance in Plainfield, Indiana. This Entry-Level Civil Engineer (EI) – Water/Wastewater role offers the chance to build a broad municipal engineering skill set while supporting water, wastewater, stormwater, site planning, and dam inspections and assessments. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Wastewater Engineer position include: BS in Civil Engineering or related field required. EI certificate preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Provide CAD drafting support during planning, design, and construction phases. Perform hydraulic modeling using SewerCAD, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, and SewerGEMS. Use GIS applications and data to obtain design details and create deliverables. Research permitting agencies and jurisdictions; complete application documents and communicate with permitting officials. Perform civil engineering design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and related technical reports. Coordinate with engineers and technicians; review vendor/client/architect drawings and recommend changes.

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
