Java / Python Developer with Security Clearance

Piper Companies is seeking a Java / Python Developer to join a leading government technology and defense industry organization. The Java / Python Developer will support the development and enhancement of mission-critical applications in a secure environment, leveraging expertise in Java, Python, and modern software development practices. The Java / Python Developer role is a long term open ended contract opportunity, requires you to work onsite in Ft. Meade, MD 5 days per week and requires you to have an active TS/SCI with FS Poly.

Responsibilities of the Java / Python Developer: • Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using Java and Python technologies. • Design, implement, and support scalable backend services and APIs. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and system issues. • Participate in code reviews, testing efforts, and software deployment activities. • Support Agile development processes and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements of the Java / Python Developer: • 3+ years of professional software development experience. • Strong proficiency in Java and Python development. • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services. • Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases. • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and Agile environments. • Experience with source control tools such as Git. • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.

Compensation for the Java / Python Developer: • Salary range: $80,000 - $180,000 • Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
