Private Equity Associate

Job Description

An established and growing private equity firm based in Florida is seeking a driven and commercially minded Associate to join its investment team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant exposure to the full investment lifecycle, working closely with senior investment professionals on sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across a range of sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, due diligence, and portfolio company value creation within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and commercial assessment.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO models, valuation analyses, and investment return scenarios.
• Support the execution of transactions, including due diligence, deal structuring, financing, and closing processes.
• Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and transaction documentation.
• Work alongside portfolio company management teams to monitor performance and identify value creation opportunities.
• Conduct industry research and identify attractive investment themes and potential acquisition targets.
• Collaborate with investment bankers, consultants, legal advisers, and other transaction stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or a related investment role.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with M&A transactions, leveraged buyouts, or financial due diligence.
• Excellent commercial judgement and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
