Senior API Integration Engineer

We are seeking a Senior API Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise API and integration solutions in a large-scale environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise with IBM API Connect, DataPower, API security, cloud integrations, and enterprise middleware.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development and integration experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower.
• Strong experience building and managing REST/SOAP APIs, API lifecycle management, and API governance.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, LDAP, SSL/TLS, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath, GatewayScript, and IBM MQ.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting enterprise API platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes and AWS cloud environments.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Lending, Insurance, or other regulated industries.
• Experience with Kafka, IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I), Event Streaming, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading technical design discussions.
