The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Maintain an organized and safe intermodal yard by positioning containers and chassis. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure functionality and safety. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors for seamless task coordination. • Adhere to established safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety standards and meticulous attention to detail. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders and stairs. • Must pass a background verification, physical, and drug screening.
