Job Description
Windows Systems Administrator
- W2 Only role.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to support and manage pre-production environments. This role focuses on Windows server administration, environment management, automation, deployments, and infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will have strong PowerShell scripting skills, experience with DevOps tools, and a passion for building reliable, automated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, validate, and support application releases across pre-production environments.
- Perform environment backups, restores, and rollback activities when needed.
- Configure and maintain Windows Server environments and related infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage access controls following least-privilege security principles.
- Build, configure, and maintain new application environments.
- Monitor environment health and recommend performance improvements.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, middleware, and application issues.
- Manage support tickets, document solutions, and maintain operational procedures.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support release activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Windows Systems Administration experience.
- Strong experience with:
- Windows Server (2008 2022)
- PowerShell automation (required)
- IIS Administration
- Active Directory (AD)
- DNS
- VMware
- SQL Server connectivity and basic SQL queries
- Oracle connectivity
- Experience with Bitbucket, GitLab, Artifactory, and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of SQL Clustering, VLANs, and NetScaler.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting application deployments and release management.
- Infrastructure automation and scripting expertise.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Strong customer service and cross-functional collaboration skills.
