Senior Software Engineer
Up to 65,000 p/annum
Primarily Remote (Regional Offices plus B-weekly visit to London - fully expensed)
Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for security clearance due to the nature of the project.
CPS Group are supporting a leading IT Consultancy in the recruitment of multiple Senior Software Engineers to join a growing team delivering secure, technically complex projects across the public sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work as part of an Agile team, contributing across the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing, developing and testing bespoke software solutions in Java, React JavaScript, and TypeScript
Working across a range of open-source technologies and libraries
Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab
Deploying applications across AWS
Contributing to architecture, technical design and solution development
Working across the full software lifecycle, from requirements through to delivery and ongoing support
Working collaboratively with customers and wider technical teams
Taking technical ownership and mentoring or leading others where appropriate
Key Skills:
Strong commercial experience with Java
Hands-on Full Stack development experience
Experience with React, JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience working with AWS and/or Azure
Strong understanding of software development best practices
Experience working within Agile environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
