Manufacturing - Assoc Test Engr 2 Shift 2
Location: Milpitas, California (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Associate Test Engineer for a second shift position. This role involves the testing of new technologies in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, has strong troubleshooting skills, and is eager to learn and grow. This position requires working on assignments that are moderately complex, where judgment is necessary to resolve problems and make routine recommendations.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Determine and may develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, completing rework as necessary.
• Prepare technical reports to summarize findings and recommend solutions.
• Work with minimal instruction on daily tasks and general instructions on new assignments.
• Handle tool work and hands-on troubleshooting of systems.
• Pick up system-level concepts quickly.

Required Qualifications
Education: Open to new graduates with engineering degrees or candidates with mechanical/military backgrounds without a degree.
Experience: A minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience. Hands-on experience in electrical and optomechanical systems level testing, troubleshooting, and repair is required. Prior experience testing digital and/or analog components and systems is necessary.
Skills:

• Ability to work in a clean room environment.
• Proficiency in using and manipulating fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers.
• Ability to read and comprehend complicated drawings, mathematics, and handbook formulas.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of testing and measuring instruments.
• Strong organizational skills with a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English.

Work Environment

• The standard shift is 3:30 PM-1:30 AM, Monday-Friday.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, is required.
• The role requires the ability to stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using Oscilloscopes and DVM analysis tools.
• Knowledge of LabView, Linux, and MS Office suite software.
