ROLES!

GenAI / Investigations Engineering

Levels: Mid and Senior

  • Mid-level: 5+ years of experience
  • Senior-level: 7+ years of experience

Project: Building GenAI-based insights and tools for investigators to help them conduct investigations more efficiently. The work will include building integrations and bringing new capabilities into production.

Key Skills / Profile

  • Strong application/software engineering background
  • Java and/or Python
  • AWS, including lightweight/serverless Lambda-based development
  • Experience managing production systems
  • Experience taking new applications/systems into production
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development/code-generation tools
  • Kiro experience is helpful but not required; comparable AI development tools are acceptable
  • Comfortable integrating GenAI capabilities into engineering workflows

CAT-Based Response System / Data-Heavy Engineering

Project: New CAT-based response system focused heavily on large-scale trade data. The initiative is moving away from the traditional Blue Sheets mechanism, where investigators request PII and trade data, toward using CAT-based data to support investigations while reducing reliance on PII.

This is a highly collaborative initiative involving multiple teams, including a gateway team, with downstream impact to surveillance capabilities.

Key Skills / Profile

  • Strong software/application engineers with a solid understanding of data
  • Strong algorithmic/problem-solving skills; ability to identify patterns and relationships across large datasets
  • Java or Python
  • Strong AWS knowledge
  • AWS Glue
  • Athena
  • ETL/data processing
  • Apache Spark
  • Familiarity with Presto and/or Trino
  • Experience with AWS big-data services
  • Understanding of data connections, integrations, and data flows
  • Experience using GenAI tools for code generation
  • GenAI will also be incorporated into the solution itself, not just used as a developer productivity tool

Ideal Candidate: This is not purely a traditional data-engineering role. They want a strong application/software engineer who is comfortable working with data-intensive systems, algorithms, AWS, and distributed data technologies.

Overall Candidate Themes

Across the openings, the strongest candidates will combine solid software engineering fundamentals, AWS experience, production-system experience, and practical familiarity with GenAI-assisted development. Pradeep's roles lean more toward GenAI-enabled investigation applications and integrations, while Venkat's roles are more data- and algorithm-heavy, with greater emphasis on Spark, ETL, Athena, Glue, and large-scale trade data.
