Akamai Platform Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Define, configure, and manage applications on the Akamai platform.
• Onboard new applications and support application delivery through Akamai.
• Configure and maintain CDN services to improve website performance and availability.
• Implement and support web security solutions, including WAF and edge protection.
• Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot CDN, DNS, and application delivery issues.
• Work with application, network, and security teams to support Akamai services.
• Assist with platform upgrades, maintenance, and production support.
• Document configurations and follow operational best practices.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience working with the Akamai platform.
• Experience defining, managing, and onboarding applications to Akamai.
• Experience with CDN configuration and traffic optimization.
• Strong knowledge of web security and edge protection technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Akamai Platform services, including CDN, WAF, and DNS.
• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web application delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field
