Job Description

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. seeks an Assistant IT Team Manager to support IT operations across manufacturing and corporate environments. In this role, you'll help lead a small team responsible for infrastructure, applications, and end-user support that keep production and logistics running reliably. You will coordinate daily workload, monitor system performance, and assist with incident, problem, and change management. Partnering with engineering, operations, and corporate stakeholders, you'll support secure, stable, and innovative IT solutions in a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the IT team manager in planning and delivering infrastructure and application services for manufacturing operations
  • Coordinate daily workload, ticket queues, and priorities for a small team of IT specialists
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of plant and office systems supporting production and logistics
  • Assist with incident, problem, and change management following ITIL and Honda standards
  • Monitor system performance and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors
  • Contribute to cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance with corporate policies
  • Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand IT needs
  • Help onboard, train, and mentor junior IT staff
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and technology upgrades across IT environments

Required Skills
