Java Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our software engineering team in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Java technologies, cloud platforms, and Agile development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.

• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver software solutions.

• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.

• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.

• Implement automated testing and support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Ensure applications meet security, scalability, and reliability standards.

• Document technical designs, processes, and application changes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of professional experience developing applications with Java.

• Strong proficiency in Java 11 or newer.

• Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.

• Experience building RESTful APIs.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging systems.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles.

• Experience working with microservices architecture.

Salary Range

$100,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience, technical expertise, and qualifications.
