The Role

• Operate specialized equipment (hostlers, cranes, etc.) to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for stacking, moving, and organizing containers.
• Conduct pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive commitment to safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
