Senior QA Automation Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer in Irving, TX.

Duties

• Identify business and technical risks and contribute to requirements gathering, user story development, and acceptance criteria
• Develop, review, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional and non-functional requirements
• Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications
• Perform application testing, performance analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and quality
• Validate software functionality, integrations, and hardware interactions as needed
• Conduct functional, performance, and load testing to evaluate system stability, scalability, and overall performance
• Integrate automated testing into continuous integration and deployment processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate issues, identify root causes, and support timely resolution
• Document testing activities, results, and quality metrics

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and test automation
• 6+ years of experience in QA automation, including the design and maintenance of test automation frameworks
• Experience testing modern web, mobile, cloud-based, or distributed applications
• Experience testing web, mobile, and API-based applications
• Experience with performance, load, and reliability testing methodologies
• Experience creating and reviewing test plans, test cases, and risk-based testing strategies
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and quality assurance best practices
• Strong programming or scripting skills with experience developing automated test solutions
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
