DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer / Application Developer to join a high-performing Federal Government team supporting critical enterprise platforms and digital services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing enhancement, integration, and support of a large-scale ServiceNow environment while working on both operational support activities and new capability delivery.

About the Role

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining platform stability, delivering enhancements, supporting integrations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and sustainable ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules.
• Deliver enhancements, user stories, and technical work packages.
• Support incidents, service requests, defects, and platform enquiries.
• Design and implement workflows, automations, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations.
• Monitor platform performance and resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in ServiceNow upgrades and release activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Strong experience developing, configuring, and customising ServiceNow solutions.
• Experience across ITSM and HRSD modules.
• Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, workflows, business rules, client scripts, catalog items, notifications, and UI components.
• Experience developing customer-facing ServiceNow portals.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, development standards, and best practices.
• Experience developing integration solutions using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, Service Bridge, and automation tools.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Highly Desirable

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Experience working within protected or secure government environments.
• Knowledge of government security, accessibility, and digital service standards.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with additional ServiceNow modules including ITOM, SPM, IRM, Health & Safety, and PSDS.
