Job Description

Excelsior Village Academies, Inc. is a K-8 public charter school dedicated to rigorous academics, community-centered learning, and a positive school culture. We serve scholars across multiple Georgia counties and work every day to create a school environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As Assistant Dean of Students, you will play an important role in helping maintain a strong, supportive student culture. This position is centered on student support, problem-solving, and partnership across the school community, helping scholars navigate challenges while reinforcing high expectations and a mission-driven approach to learning and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support de-escalation and proactive solutions for scholars in elementary through middle school.
  • Facilitate and support the organization of school-wide events.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in youth development.
  • Experience working with children in an elementary and middle school setting, or other experience working with kids.
  • Background in behavior support, school culture, or discipline work in a school setting, including experience with de-escalation and restorative practices.
  • Experience coordinating student-facing activities and events.
  • Strong communication skills with students, teachers, school leaders, and families.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Availability for occasional evenings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with behavior tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with PBIS.
  • Familiarity with MTSS.
