The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks with precision and efficiency.
• Maneuver containers within the yard to optimize space and facilitate operations.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily tasks and container movements.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including second shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM), day shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills that foster effective teamwork.
