Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large, well-established UK organisation operating within the property services and maintenance sector.

Working closely with senior operational and commercial leaders, you'll play a key role in driving financial performance across a significant business unit. This is a highly visible position where you'll provide commercial insight, influence strategic decision-making and help deliver profitable, sustainable growth.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll act as a trusted advisor to operational leadership, providing financial analysis, challenge and support across a portfolio of contracts. You'll combine strong management accounting expertise with commercial acumen to identify opportunities, improve performance and minimise financial risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to provide strategic financial support.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
  • Delivering insightful financial and profitability analysis to support business decisions.
  • Developing business cases for investment and growth initiatives.
  • Supporting financial planning, forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Ensuring robust financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Supporting cash flow, billing and working capital performance.
  • Working collaboratively across finance, operations and procurement to improve commercial outcomes.
About You

We're looking for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys influencing stakeholders and partnering with operational teams.

You'll ideally have:
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong management accounting and business partnering experience.
  • Experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn financial data into commercial insight.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
Experience within property, construction, engineering, facilities management or other project-based service businesses would be advantageous, as would exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.

What's on Offer
  • Salary up to £85,000 depending on experience.
  • Performance-related bonus.
  • Hybrid working.
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Pension, life assurance and healthcare options.
  • Employee wellbeing programme and lifestyle benefits.
  • Genuine career progression within a growing national organisation.
