The Role

• Installation of various cable types and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, and transformers.
• Performing cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborating with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely and efficient electrical installations.
• Ensuring all work adheres to strict safety and quality standards.

What You'll Need

• Completion of a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, with a valid SJIB card.
• Proven experience in marine installations or major industrial environments.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements.
• Ability to interpret trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
• Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
• Proficiency in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components, and completing cable terminations to trade standards.
